They seem to favor a cartoonish visual style from what we can gather from their moderate back catalog, and this is their first effort with the licensed dynamic reels engine. There’s certain harmony over the subsea visuals, and the pace of the game is excellent since there are no cascading win hiccups.

Cash fish can be collected in different ways in the base game and in the bonus round, and the latter is clearly inspired by the most popular releases in the fishing slot genre. The big twist is that you can unlock a Mermaid prize symbol, and she can deliver up to a 2,000x catch one time per free spins session. The 4,303x overall max win is still well below average for this engine though, and the same can be said about the 15,625 win ways capacity.

Baltic Studios could’ve taken this opportunity to go large, but their Megaways debut is well below par when it comes to the math model. Only up to 15,625 win ways can be achieved via the dynamic reels engine, and the 4,303x potential is below half of what most Megaways titles offer. In addition, you get a below average RTP of 95.76 %, which makes it hard for us to recommend this game unless you really love the theme and features.

It does stick out from most Megaways releases in the feature department, but the core instant fish prize feature is obviously lifted from other games. The pick game usually awards only smaller prizes, and you’ll most likely need to unlock the Mermaid in the bonus round to truly make a dent. It’s not the worst Megaways debut we’ve seen, but it could’ve been that much better with a stronger math model.
